The South Oldham Rotary Club will be holding their 5th Annual "Celebration of Trees" on December 7-9th 2007. Holiday fun for the whole family! Visit our vast array of professionally decorated wreaths and trees to get special holiday decorating ideas. Decorate a gingerbread house (proceeds benefit Apple Patch), get a photo with Santa and other children's activities, or get a gift for that special someone from our craft vendors. This year's event is sponsored by Stifel Nicolaus. and is part of "Christmas In The Country" (see www.oldhamcountychristmas.com for more info). Seniors get a sneak peak at the trees and wreaths at a "Silver Bell Social" on Friday, December 7th 2-4 pm at the Oldham County Schools Art Center. Admission is a canned good or donation for the Interfaith Church Council food baskets. The South Oldham Rotary Club is currently seeking sponsors for some of the decorated trees and wreaths for this year. Event: "Big Ralph-The Bully Elf" by American Dream
Factory
Big Ralph is one of the North Pole's top elves...
but he has some issues. First, he is bigger than
all of the other eleves and he's not very nice. He
is a bully and he bullies everyone around him,
including the life size toys in his shop. But
Ralph doesn't count on the toys having a say in
things themselves. Filled with original,
entertaining songs and music, this show
captures the essence of important issues such
as self esteem, friendship, understanding and
compassion. It also deals with bullying, why it
might happen and how it can be overcome, all
interwoven into a fun filled holiday story. And in
the end, it is through love that true change in
someone can occur. Big Ralph-The Bully Elf is
for families and children of all ages, but will
especially appeal to those in K-5.

New Years Eve Gala" at Waldeck Mansion in
Crestwood, KY. You'll find live music, dancing,

toast, cash bar, silent & live auction plus a light
breakfast. Tickets are $100 and a portion of the
proceeds will benefit CASA (Court Appointed
Special Advocates) and Operation: SPIRIT.
