Community Service

 

The South Oldham Rotary Club believes in giving back to the community and actively supports the following:

 

Oldham County Arts Center

  • The club cleaned up and completely landscaped the garden area outside the Center main building.
  • As part of a literacy project, the club donated books suitable for both adult and child reading projects.
  • Club members completed paint up/ fix up projects in and around the Center building.

Operation PARENT

  • We have financially supported Operation PARENT and are promoting Rotary support on a wider geographical basis.

Project Graduation

  • We are an active supporter of Oldham County Project Graduation, providing volunteers for high school graduation festivities.

Interchurch Council Food Baskets

  • We provide donations and member hands in support of annual Interchurch council food baskets during the Christmas holiday season.

Cub Scout Sponsor

  • We sponsor Cub Pack 998 which meets at Kenwood Station Elementary School.

Oldham County Community Scholarships

  • One of our club members is on the Oldham County Community Scholarships, the organization that processes our scholarship applications (see Vocation section for more information)

Indigent Fund

  • For several years, we have donated funds to Crestwood Elementary, Camden Station Elementary, Kenwood Elementary & South Oldham Middle School to use for their indigent fund for children that need coats, shoes etc.
