Balloon Walk 2009

To merely say "Thank you" just isn't enough.  The South Oldham Rotary's “Kid's Balloon Walk” was a huge success because of everyone that participated.  Over fifty local businesses showcased their company and thousands of canned goods were donated for the Inter Church Council Food Baskets. Thank you kids for bringing your parents by the carload!   The South Oldham Rotary Club was completely overwhelmed by the generosity of Kentucky Tae Kwon Do's staff & students.  They pulled up to the event with an entire trailer load of donated toys & food products.  In addition, Keebler Foods donated boxes of goodies for Oldham County families. The generous spirit and sense of community was visible everywhere you looked - from the kids walking around with tons of balloons, to the people behind the tables giving out their information.   I wanted to especially thank the businesses and organizations that participated - we couldn't have done it without you and we appreciate the way you support our community and each other.
