Announcements

We're seeking four outstanding professionals to visit District 9920 in New Zealand Oct 27-Nov 27 2012 as part of a Group Study Exchange.

Interested applicants must be employed full-time in a recognized business or profession. Young professionals within the age range of 25 to 40 are encouraged to apply. Applicants must live or be employed in Rotary District 6710.

For an application and more details, please contact GSE Chair Lauch Hines at 502-241-0985 or lauchhines@targetretire.com, or contact your local Rotary Club.  A list of local clubs, as well as more information about Rotary International, Group Study Exchange and Team Member applications can be found at http://www.rotarydistrict6710.org .  You can view photos from past GSE visits in our photo albumn.

Through the program, teams of professionals exchange visits between paired areas in different countries. The awards involve approximately four week visits, during which team members share personal knowledge of their own country and experience the customs, vocations, and lifestyles of another.  The Rotary Foundation provides a round-trip air ticket, and local Rotarians in the host country provide meals, lodging, and group travel in their district. Team members pay for personal and incidental expenses.

WELCOME!  We’re glad you’ve taken the time to check us out.  If you’re looking for an organization that will enable you to give back to your community...and the world - you’ve come to the right place!

Rotary International has come very close to eradicating polio worldwide - that’s quite an accomplishment, but we could not have gotten where we are without people like you who believe in being that helping hand.   Our theme this year is “Reach Within to Embrace Humanity”.  This theme puts into words what we do here in Oldham County and throughout the world.  Our members are people just like you - they want to have a positive effect on the youth of today, improve our communities, and help create a better world - all of these goals are reachable with Rotary!

Please be our guest for our breakfast get-togethers each Friday morning.  We’re located at the Oldham Schools Arts Center, 7105 Floydsburg Rd in Crestwood Kentucky from 7:30am -8:30am - we would love to have you join us!

Check out our website and links for more details of some of the local and international projects that we’re a part of right here in Oldham County.  We’re very proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, but we’ve still got a lot of work ahead and we would love to have you be a part of it!

Sincerely,

Fariba Muhlheizler, President

South Oldham Rotary Club

(Oldham County, Kentucky)
